Jeffrey Mishlove reviews highlights from the great sociologist, Pitirim A. Sorokin’s 1954 classic book, The Ways and Power of Love – a comprehensive effort to create a scientific study of altruistic love. Sorokin was particularly concerned with the role of universal love in securing world peace. He also focused on his concept of the supraconscious mind. Some believe that this was Sorokins finest book.
