What is Sacred Science?withTodd Hayen

Books Mentioned In This Interview

Todd Hayen, PhD, is author of Ancient Egypt and Modern Psychotherapy: Sacred Science and the Search for Soul. He is a psychotherapist in private practice in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Here he notes that, since ancient times, there have been efforts to develop scientific forms of inquiry as well as technologies that were not wedded to materialistic metaphysics. These approaches have been known as sacred science, spiritual science, esoteric science, and occult science. Modern proponents have included Rudolf Steiner, H. P. Blavatsky, R. A. Schwaller de Lubicz and Ernest Holmes.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is a past vice-president of the Association for Humanistic Psychology; and is the recipient of the Pathfinder Award from that Association for his contributions to the field of human consciousness exploration.
