The Fundamental Flaw of Neo-Advaita | The Bastardization of Eastern Spirituality

The bastardization of Eastern spirituality has continued in full force since the counterculture movement of the 1960s in the West. Nowhere is this more prevalent than in the Western misinterpretation and misunderstanding of the great Indian spiritual tradition of Advaita Vedanta. This warping of Advaita Vedanta is due to a lack of knowledge of the teachings of the great 20th-century sage, Ramana Maharshi, from modern so-called spiritual teachers, leading to a dry and flavorless fake teaching known as Neo-Advaita, minus the essential knowledge of Vedanta. In this episode of Enlightenment Today, I will explain the fundamental flaw of Neo-Advaita and the so-called spiritual teachers who continue to distort the original teachings due to an obsession with a famous preliminary practice rather than the actual knowledge of Vedanta.
