This is second in a series of interviews with Gail about the cultural practices of the Huichol Indians of Mexico. Gail shares how she first came to realize that she had cancer while high in the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains with the Huichol indians, far from civilization. She describes the shamanic healing that may have saved her life. She also discusses a series of experiences when she brought her father with her to visit the Huichols. Of special interest is her description of the Huichol corn ceremony.
