Laurie Nadel, PhD, a clinical psychologist, is author of The Five Gifts: Discovering Hope, Healing, and Strength When Disaster Strikes. Here she describes working with groups of individuals who are suffering from the “long-haul” symptoms of COVID. Even though they no longer test positive for the virus they suffer in a debilitating manner similar to those who have experienced chronic fatigue syndrome. She also discusses the dreams people are having in the face of the considerable extra stress occasioned by the pandemic. She offers several suggestions for working with dreams and dealing with nightmares.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is a past vice-president of the Association for Humanistic Psychology; and is the recipient of the Pathfinder Award from that Association for his contributions to the field of human consciousness exploration.
