Stephen Braude, PhD, is an emeritus professor and former chairman of the philosophy department at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He has also served as president of the Parapsychological Association. He is author of The Limits of Influence: Psychokinesis and the Philosophy of Science, First Person Plural: Multiple Personality and the Philosophy of Mind, Crimes of Reason, The Gold Leaf Lady, Immortal Remains, and ESP and Psychokinesis. He is the recent recipient of the prestigious Myers Memorial Medal awarded by the Society for Psychical Research for outstanding contributions. He also served as editor of the Journal of Scientific Exploration.

In this program from 2016, the tables are turned and Dr. Braude interviews New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, about his decade-long research study of the paranormal abilities of Ted Owens, as published in Mishlove’s book, The PK Man. The interview touches on difficult philosophical conundrums posed regarding the various interpretations of precognition and psychokinesis. Braude and Mishlove also explore the ethical dilemmas associated with psychokinesis.
