What Is A Human Being?withMichael Cremo

Books Mentioned In This Interview

michael cremo forbidden archeology

Michael Cremo is coauthor, with Richard Thompson, of Forbidden Archeology: The Hidden History of the Human Race. He is also author of Human Devolution: A Vedic Alternative to Darwin’s Theory.

Here he suggests that, before we ask about human origins, we should define what it means to be a human being. He notes that most world cultures have beliefs that the human being is part of a larger spiritual hierarchy. He suggests that research in parapsychology, psychical research, and healing show us that human consciousness is greater than is generally imagined. He proposes that we are beings of pure consciousness temporarily inhabiting physical bodies.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is a past vice-president of the Association for Humanistic Psychology; and is the recipient of the Pathfinder Award from that Association for his contributions to the field of human consciousness exploration.
